Bangkok…

I arrived in Bangkok, Thailand today and was greeted by wonderful light and a blessing, literally.  I am staying on the out skirts of Bangkok, just far enough from the main city to really get a feel for local life away from tourism.  After dropping off my stuff I headed out, wondering around and within a few blocks I was greeted by a Buddhist monk who gave me a quick blessing and a warm smile. It was an amazing introduction to the country that not only made me feel fortunate to be here but lit the fire for exploration and the desire to experience life outside my own.  I am looking forward to the coming days here and I will post more as the days come.
