Last week I headed up to Toronto and while wondering around Kesington Market, I came across this woman writing in her journal. I snapped about two frames. She knew right away I was there and the first two pictures she had her hand covering her face. After I explained my intention and that she was in such beautiful light, she let me take a photo. I snapped one more, I thanked her, and then I was off.
Thank you to all of the people who I know and have never met, for allowing me to take your photograph. What a privelage it is to make pictures of people I find interesting and moving. Like the woman writing in her journal outside her shop in the market, my pictures are my journal, allowing my to capture my experiences and how I see and feel about them. With out you, my photographs wouldn’t be what they are.
