Transmodern

Last weekend I headed downtown to the Transmodern festival going on all weekend long. I spent part of Sunday enjoying the craziness that took over.  As I wandered around, it was hard not to notice that the street performers and exhibits turned the area into the closest thing to Alice and Wonderland without me having to take a hit of LSD.  There was a carefree and nonjudgmental air to the event and I really loved being a part of it.  Its not often we can wander around and feel that way, to bad everyday is not a big love fest like this!  It it were, maybe there would be more artists out there because would not be afraid to try something new, but then again, sometimes the fear of trying something new is because of the fear of failure.  Arthur Meyerson, a wonderful photographer friend, says, “If you haven’t failed, you aren’t trying hard enough.”
